Had surgery here 30/12/2022. Arranged everything. All i had to do was my flights and give them the details, they took care of the rest. All the workers were fantastic, coming from UK to Turkey was way out of my comfort zone but the team made it seemless. Treatment was exceptional, any questions i had were answered, i was never left wondering what was going on. They got me a great translator to explain everything and could translate my questions.Got to see and talk to my doctor and dieticien a lot. They were very fun yet experienced professionals that made you feel worth wile and nothing was a hassle.

I was so well looked after by the whole team at Novemed. My coordinator kept in touch regularly, answering all my questions. I had a video call with my surgeon before travelling a felt very cared for at all times. My translator was brilliant on surgery day and explained everything to me and sat with me all morning until my operation. I have had a very easy recovery and am now three weeks post op and feeling amazing. My surgeon Dr Üçünçü was very kind and checked on me several times after my surgery to make sure I was okay. The nurses were so kind and reassuring during my recovery. I travelled alone from the UK and was anxious before going but Novemed were excellent and really looked after me. I would recommend them to anyone looking for gastric sleeve surgery.

I had my surgery on 13.02.23. The service from start to finish has been outstanding, from the initial call with Oliver to discharge & aftercare. 
I’ve been kept informed every step of the way. Myself & my companion have been well looked after. The hotel we stayed in was lovely. The transfers between the airport/hotel/hospital were a massive help, they made the whole process stress free. The care I received while in hospital was amazing. The staff are friendly & helpful. The surgery went well & I have been discharged with medication, shakes, vitamins & lots of information. It was very helpful having a dietician explain everything & being given a diet plan. I couldn’t have wished for a better experience.

From the moment I enquired to receiving the warmest hello from John (who was amazing) I knew instantly chosing Novemed was the best thing I ever did! We arrived a little later at night on the 11th, and taken straight to the hospital, to be greeted with the loveliest nurse who's name I wish I could remember. To then go through all the forms and got started on the tests. The morning of surgery, Sheila arrived at 8.30am and didn't leave my side throughout the other tests I had to do. Fabulous lady. Then very soon after whisked off to surgery and back in my room within a couple of hours. The aftercare, from the nurses and my surgeon checking in on me a couple of times a day, was second to none, constantly asking how I am, and how I'm feeling. My hubby stayed with me, fed 3 times a day and he was waited on as much as me! Honestly could not recommend this team of people anymore, the hospital itself and the rest of the package, including transfers. Thankfully everything went very smoothly for me without complications and within a few days I was up and about getting settled into my new life. Thank you so much Novemed! I cannot fault Novemed at all! I had my gastric sleeve surgery on the 2nd August 2022 and was 128.2kg, now I'm 95kg and still losing. From the airport transfers, to the hotel, to the hospital, to meeting the team and the doctor. I am truly grateful for all of them in Istanbul who helped me and made my surgery successful. I can't thank you enough. God bless you all. This has changed my life for the better. I now have control. The after care is amazing in the hospital and when you go back to your country. They are very professional and compassionate. Simply amazing.

Booking process ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Communication ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Transfers ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Hospital stay ⭐️⭐️⭐️ Hotel ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ From booking, to the surgery, to the follow up, everything has been great. Booking. I booked in August 2022 and was in constant communication with John, who answered all of my questions. I knew it was the right company to go with because they even recommended that I speak with my GP about something before committing. The hospital. All I can say about the hospital is, don’t go into this expecting it to be like a private uk hospital room. You do have your own bathroom, and there is a single sofa bed that is comfy enough for your companion. The room was mopped once a day, but that was all the cleaning that happened. My companions advise to yours is avoid the hospital food at all costs and go to the restaurant opposite the hospital instead. There is also a bakery, kfc, and a supermarket nearby for anything else you might want to get to eat and drink. It’s all very inexpensive. Pre op tests. Almost as soon as I arrived at the hospital, the pre op tests were started. Bloods taken, X-ray, stomach ultrasound, heart ultrasound, and endoscopy (I was worried about the endoscopy, but you are heavily sedated for this, unlike in the uk!) Surgery time! When the pre op tests were finished, it was time for surgery! I had met my surgeon when I arrived and he had answered any last minute questions I had. The surgery went perfectly! I had asked beforehand to see a picture of the removed stomach, which they obliged. It’s not for everyone but I thought it was fantastic! In the hospital after care. This is the only part I wasn’t 100% happy with. Quite a few hours after surgery you are allowed to get up and walk about to help with the gas pains. (I would have liked to get up long before they let me). Until then you are hooked up to fluids and paracetamol. When I was helped back into bed, the nurse didn’t hook me back up to the drips. If something doesn’t feel right, say something! A short while later I was in so much pain and struggling to breathe that they had to give me ‘opioids’. Until then, paracetamol was more than enough. During the night the nurses were hard to find and took a very long time to come when called. (They were downstairs smoking more time than they were on the small ward). I also recommend downloading a translator before flying out, as this is the only way to communicate with the nurses. The dietitians were wonderfully helpful. Pre and post op. They came in with the liquid foods, protein shake sachets, and vitamins. Explained in detail how to make them up, how much to have etc. Just before leaving, the surgeon came in and removed the drain and I was free! The hotel was quiet, clean and comfortable. The transfers were on time and efficient. Free WiFi was available in the cars, the hospital and the hotel. You do not need to purchase a SIM card at the airport. I did A LOT of research into different companies before hand and I am very glad I decided to go with Novemed.

I went with Novemed to have a gastric sleeve and the experience I received was fantastic. The communication via WhatsApp was fantastic, any questions I had were anwsered very quickly. When we arrived in Istanbul on 11th January, the transport collected us and took us to the hotel. The hotel is so clean and comfortable. On 12th January we were picked up at 7.30am and taken to the hospital. The transport had sparkly lights on the ceiling and we felt like VIPs. When we arrived at the hospital everyone was very friendly and I met Afag who anwsered any questions I had before surgery. Afag was so kind and had excellent English. Pre op tests went fine and done very quickly, they did pick up that I had a hernia in my stomach and they could fix that during the surgery. I paid 1.7k more for this but I was very happy to do this because it will help me later on in my life. The surgery went well and the aftercare was fantastic. All the nurses were so lovely and took great care of me and my partner also received 3 meals for the two days at hospital. I can't thank the team enough for an amazing experience. Im recovering very well and novemed provided me with medicine and shakes to go home with. I would highly recommend novemed to anyone who is thinking about having a gastric sleeve. Thank you everyone! I'm glad I went with Novemed . Communication is great via WhatsApp (very attentive and regular clear communication ) Over there Shelia the dietician is an absolute star ⭐. Shes just a lovey caring person, very knowledgeable and you can tell it's not just a job for her. She truly loves it. I would say the nursing team are lovely too. Very young which isn't an issue but they do kinda forget about modesty and privacy. They're very attentive and come in MULTIPLE times esp during the night. They do however forget to switch lights off and close the door again . Quite frustrating. I also felt it was very much like a production line. I realise it was a foreign country but pre surgery when obviously people are going to me more anxious they so things without pre warning or trying to explain, for example injecting things into the canula.

From initial consultation to arriving at the clinic, the communication and information was brilliant with the whole team. I travelled on my own from the UK and never once felt unsafe. The after care was 5 star. Every medicine explained and what to drink/eat for the next few weeks. It is more expensive than other clinics after doing some research but the extra money is totally worth it for a procedure done correctly with the best aftercare.

On a whole i would say the service for the money, is really very good. It is also very efficient. I arrived in early evening and was advised I would go directly to hospital rather than the hotel so they could get my tests done early for the next day. Room wasnt quite ready when i got there but didnt have to wait too long.Tests were all done and before i knew it I had my procedure the following morning, bang on the time they had intimated. All went well and I felt pretty lethargic for first 8hrs or so but after that quickly improved. I was monitored on the hour every hour without fail. Room was pretty cold but had control of thermostat so could change it as required. I went on my own and I would say that you have to be pretty strong minded to go through this, so I would suggest taking someone for moral support if you worry easily. There was a lot of talk about how previous patients had lengthy and good conversations with their surgeons. This was not the case with me. I never saw him for more than a minute on 3 occasions whereby he said. 1 "no water today" 2 " only 4 cups of water today." 3 " you have a big problem. " you're going to need a new wardrobe" lol. I do appreciate that he was very busy. 2 days after I was released to the hotel (which was excellent) and 3 days later returned home. I would note that there was no follow up after you leave the hospital. This I found a bit surprising and I think it would be good if they did. Just to see how your doing. Certainly for people who worry about giving themselves injections or even to discuss issues or pains that were prevailant after the surgery. I'm back home now and all of my family and friends are astounded at how well I looked considering the process. Few points of note for anyone considering. - I had to pay the 8% extra because I used a card to pay the outstanding balance. In the abundance of early info received through WhatsApp it did tell me this but I had missed it. - there is an option to pay for the years supply of Pantas tablets which you have to take every day. Note this is half the price.of buying them in the UK but was still unexpected. Or again I missed it in the info provided - there is a risk of additional costs if you have a hernia for example, which is highlighted in another review so best to make sure you have the money available just in case. Anyway, I have tried to be as fair as I can and have no issue recommending Novemed to anyone wishing to have the procedure done. All in all a positive experience that I hope leads to even more positive results.

My whole experience with NoveMed has been amazing. I felt apprehensive about booking my surgery in Turkey but my worries were unfounded. Novemed arrange everything for you including the transfers to & from the airport, hotel & hospital, hotel bookings & pre op checks. The transfers were lovely, big, clean private mini vans with twinkling lights & leather seats. Transfers know your name & were always on time, everything was organised so smoothly. The hotel & hospital were spotlessly clean. I stayed in the Wow hotel, I would suggest to ask for a non smoking room. NoveMed are very quick to respond to any questions via what’s app (before & after surgery). When arriving at the hospital I was met by Afag who stayed with me up until my operation. She spoke perfect English, was very kind, helpful & made me feel at ease. All pre-op tests were thorough & professional nothing was left to chance. I met with my surgeon Dr Necdet Derici prior to my surgery, he also popped in to see me on me several occasions after my surgery. He was very friendly, pleasant & reassuring. The nurses at the hospital were brilliant, always quick to help, constantly checking on me. I got quite nervous just before going into surgery & the nurses were very comforting & kind, making me feel a lot more relaxed. Büke the dietician came to visit me after my surgery, she was very informative & friendly. She explained my diet & medication for the next month & brought my supplies of protein shakes, milk & snacks. She will stay in contact with me for the next 12 months to make sure I know what to eat & to stay on track. I would definitely recommend using NoveMed, thank you, Hannah.

Highly recommend novemed for gastric sleeve surgery . Staff are all great and make you feel at ease. Service is fantastic they collect you from airport sort hotel and transfers to and from hospital and back to hotel. Send you home with all your medication and protein. The only thing I'd say is bring extra cash i had a hernia which cost me an extra 1700euro which I had not expected at all so didn't have the cash with me luckily I had brought a credit card with me incase of emergency Recovery is better than expected I thought I'd be a lot more sore. Excited now to see results 😄

El trato ha sido muy bueno, los enfermeros muy atentos y agradables, siempre mirando por el paciente. El cirujano ha estado muy atento todos los dias y ha hecho un muy buen trabajo, estoy súper contenta y apenas sin dolor. La experiencia del viaje muy buena y con la compañía, tanto los traslados como el hotel muy bien todo. Mi traductora a sido Afag, a sido súper atenta a todo me lo a explicado todo muy bien su español es de 10, a conseguido desde primer momento que me sintiera cómoda y tranquila. Es una experiencia nueva para mi sin duda lo recomiendo a todo el que quiera hacerse la manga gastrica con mi equipo que son todos de 10 sin dudas los mejores desde la limpiadora asta el doctor muchas gracias.

I don’t normally comment on here however I have just returned home from having the surgery in Istanbul. The surgery itself went amazingly, the nurses are incredible at the hospital as was my surgeon they we all so attentive all the time. However I had very very little support from the moment I arrived from novemed, the cars we were picked up in were filthy and once my surgery was complete and I was back at the hotel I had no follow up, no messages to see if I was okay absolutely nothing! When we arrived our luggage was lost with Turkish airlines so we have absolutely nothing, we had asked a member of the team to direct us to a place where we could get an adapter for our phones as this was how we were communicating with the doctors via google translate - they didn’t help until day 3 we had to rely on the support of the nurses constantly. I have to say I’m so disappointed because before I flew the communication was amazing but nothing when I was there, I was lucky I went with someone as if I had been there on my own if I’m honest I would have been petrified with the lack of support. It would not be a company I would recommend or book with again. I would like to reiterate the nurses and surgeon were amazing. But novemed offer things they don’t follow through with, many false promises.

I cannot recommend Novemed highly enough. The care that I’ve received has been superlative. Dr Derici has been wonderful, as have Ezhar and Tanja. From start to finish, the experience has been wonderful: thoughtful, kind, caring, communicative and supportive.

Great experience from start to finish. From my first enquiry to being waved off in a taxi post op, I cannot fault the seamless service. You put a lot of trust into the unknown travelling abroad for surgery but you don't have anything to worry about if you choose Novemed. I wholeheartedly recommend, they are true professionals!

I had gastric sleeve surgery 30th November 2022 and from the moment I contacted Novamed, the experience has been amazing. They were so helpful with the information I required and once I committed to the surgery I was linked in with their whole team in advance of the surgery. Any questions or queries I had were responded to quickly and they helped me prepare in advance of the surgery. Once I landed I was greeted at arrivals and a private van brought me and my wife who travelled as my companion to our hotel. Our hotel was very comfortable and made me feel at ease. The hotel was great, really clean and the nurses and doctors and all staff were so friendly and put my mind at ease. The surgery was a great success and I am now 2 days post op with very little pain and feeling great. I stayed in the hospital for 3 days in total and will travel home in 2 days time. I could not have asked for a better team or experience. Dr Necdet Derici was my surgeon and was amazing. He really cares for his patients and was constantly checking in on me making sure I was OK. The whole team at Novamed were amazing but I want to give a special mention to Ezher who was my translator and there to help with anything I needed. He was amazing and really helped put my mind at ease but in particular my wife who was very anxious about my surgery. Ezher helped so much to keep her calm which helped me also. I cannot recommend Novamed enough for anyone who wants to have surgery. It really was 5 star treatment from start to finish

Found them on tik tok.after i made good research.from the beginning they was nice and welcoming.they answer on all my even stupid questions. Transport from airport was arranged and generally all accommodations and transport services is really good. In hospital doctors and nurses was nice and they took care about me all the time.The Dietitian was also Great.had my operation on 11.11.2022 they gave me chance to change my life now is the hard part in my hand. :) if you really looking for gastric sleeve choose them with no doubt.
