The process was simple from start to finish. Upon booking I had regular communication with the team and access to support groups. The surgery was done no complications and the aftercare was brilliant. I had pain relief when needed and support from the team throughout each day at the hospital. Thank you for changing my life.

I had my vsg surgery through Novemed and had the Op done by Dr Necdet Derici (pronounced "Nej-det Deri-ji"). It was smooth and would recommend anyone looking to get this done. I was nervous but if I be honest the surgery was done before I knew what had happened. VIP treatment better than what I've experienced in nhs UK. I am now 2 weeks post op and 13lbs down. In tota fro the pre-op diet I've lost 40lbs. You have a chance to change your life for the better.. do it!

I am leaving this review for those who are debating doing a gastric sleeve or bypass and are not 100% sure. I went to do my gastric sleeve in December of last year. I went to Novomed in Istanbul. Best decision of my life by far!!! The whole process from beginning (conversations through whatsapp) to the procedure, aftercare … was very professionally done and made me feel at ease and well informed. My experience with Novemed was truly amazing. Everything was so easy to organize thanks to Damla, who made everything so easy for me. The team that took care of me was extremley professional and informative. I was feeling comfortable before and post the procedure,team is so friendly and organized. Doctor Necdet performed my surgery and he did an amazing job. I would like to also mention Ersan who was helping me even when I moved to hotel and realized I forgot to buy shakes,and he organized hotel stuff to bring me soup in my room, I was speechless, he is amazing and I will never forget that.I travelled alone and I was only asking for help on the airport when I was going home,everything else was arranged from them. You feel safe from the beginning until the end. The aftercare team is great, specially thanks to Sumeyra,Büke and Sheila. You get all information that you need,you can ask them advices and consult about your diet. I also want to say thank you to the girl that was all the time with me before operation and helping me and translating everything for me, I was so calm and without any worries. I wanted to share my experience as going to Istanbul was a big step for me on my own let alone have major gastric surgery. But one month down the road I can honestly say that my experience was a pleasant one. Being picked up at the airport and taken to my hotel the instructions were clear, to the explanation of the procedure and pre checks and my very well spoken English young lady who explained everything to me at the hospital. The op itself went very well and the couple of days you spend in the hospital you receive good care, yes a little bit of confusion with the language but you kind of know what is happening with checks, pain relief etc it was ok we got by with the help of hand gestures and Google! The hotel I went to first I didn’t like very much I told Oliver my WhatsApp guy I had liaised with from my first enquiry and he arranged for me to go into another hotel, nothing was too much trouble and I was very happy with the second hotel, the lift back to the airport was on time and nothing but top quality transport used. After care - any time I’ve had a question the dietitian is on the end of the phone to help and I get dietary advice for all the stages of my journey.

I had bariatric surgery with Novemed in August 2023. From start to finish, you are in great hands. From being picked up at the airport to the day of the surgery and after, the level of care is incredible. I travelled alone but there was absolutely no need for a companion because I was so well looked after. The hotel was fabulous and the hospital is state of the art- it’s so clean. Having your own comfortable private room makes the experience so much easier. The nurses are all very attentive and I was never left in any discomfort. The communication before and after and since I’ve come home has been excellent. Everyone is friendly and professional. You receive support on every single part of the journey. Can’t recommend enough 😊

I must say all the horror stories you hear hear about surgery abroad think again. There is no way the NHS look after you the way they did in Turkey. I'm so glad I went with novemedical

I just got back from having a gastric balloon done and I can honestly say I was taken very good care of by all of the team. From the minute I arrived til I left. I was made to feel welcome and everything was explained well to me. I’ve had a lot of good communication and follow-up via WhatsApp too. I would highly recommend!

I'm from Slovenia, I found out about novamed through the tik tok application, I sent them a message on whatsapp and I immediately got a reply back, friendly and professional Rossa answered every question I had, then they added me to a group with dieticians where they explained to me what kind of diet I should have before and after the operation when we arrived in Istanbul we were given a beautiful hotel the next morning the driver picked us up and took us to the hospital in the hospital I was met by 2 dietitians they were very kind I had examinations and soon after the operation everything went perfectly well the nurses they were super friendly, the language was not a barrier, all in all an excellent and easy experience, I recommend it

I’m writing this review on behalf of my daughter, as she’s only 18 and very shy at doing things herself (still my baby). After years of battling her weight though out her teenage years she wasn’t happy with her weight. We’ve tried all different diet etc. surgery was the last option for her. October 2022 I flew her out with my sister to have the gastric sleeve done (both of them had it done together) with Novemed. Staff are amazing and very lovely, Rosa our coordinator is a lovely lady, always happy to answer any questions we had even if it was 10pm she still message back straight away. Thank you Novemed my daughter now has her life back and loving her life. We will be back out for plastic surgery soon 😊

I had the gatric sleeve in Decemebr 2023. I found the team to be extremley professional, understanding and informative. They made me feel comfortable and well cared for both before and post the procedure. I travelled alone for the procedure and not once did I feel alone or scared. When I needed an additonal day in hospital to recover, this was arranged for me with no addtional cost. The aftercare has also been second to none, with monthly check in and advice whenever I have needed it. I would highly recommend the Novemed team and consultants and have no regrets about my decission. Thank you Novemed for giving me my life back. Forever greatful. X

I recently got my surgery done and I’m post op about 4 weeks and the experience I’ve had with Novemed was amazing! A big shoutout a e thanks to my surgeon, dietician, translation team and the fantastic nurses for all their help and support. Although I was alone when I went there, I didn’t have a moment where they made me feel alone! 11/10 recommend. Thank you so much and I can’t wait for the results!

The best Decision I have ever made neither novemed were amazing in their service. I didn't think this time last year that I would be almost half. The size I was when I first started on my journey. My starting weight was 24stone 2lbs I'm now 12 stone 5lbs I have moved my gole weight to 12 stone as I met target weight if u want any advice do this for you its more than worth it in the long run.

I am a year Post op this week and can honestly say having the surgery was the best decision of my life. I had a gastric sleeve on 27.7.22 with Dr Necdet Derici. He and his whole team were incredible. I felt so safe and looked after from the minute of enquiring to now, post op and a year down the line. Weight loss had been more than I expected, I have lost 6 stone now and I’m happy where I’m at. The health benefits and overall quality of life I have now is just wonderful. Life is good. I am forever grateful and just wish I’d taken this sooner. The best decision of my life!!! I had the gastric sleeve surgery 6 months ago and lost over 40kg, I can’t express my gratitude for Dr. Ucuncu, an amazing doctor. My liver size was bigger than normal and the doctor was very patient and took very good care of me. The hospital was very clean and the staff was very friendly, I really enjoyed the stay. I would definitely recommend to anyone to choose this clinic for their surgery because you won’t regret!!

If I had to rate my experience out of 10, I’d give it 100! Everyone I encountered and are still in contact with have been wonderful! I appreciate the work all involved have done to make me and my partner feel safe, comfortable and prepared. The service I’ve received has phenomenal! Everyone has been professional and incredibly respectful. As a person of colour I went into this wary but I’ve been proven that I had nothing to worry about. I’m deeply grateful to EVERYONE involved. You’ve helped me change my life.

Amazing! I could not have wished for better service. Everyone was so friendly and although language can be difficult they are tried their best and did anything they could to help. The procedure was brilliant, after care was amazing. I’m positive I would not have got treatment as good as that in the uk. I was quite nervous beforehand but everyone was so welcoming and friendly. I am 2 months post op and have lost 3st 9lbs. Will never be able to express how grateful I am.

I had gastric sleeve in late January 2023 with Dr. Muhammed Zübeyr Üçüncü. I did a lot of research on surgeons before selecting Novemed because Angela, their coordinator was so helpful and responsive. At the hospital, I was professionally greeted and the translators were great. Although I’m dealing with some food issues that could be expected, I’m happy with the results from the surgery so far. I’m 5 months post-op now and I’ve had no issues or major concerns. The biggest pros in my experience with Novemed was the smoothness of the process, organization, professional staff, follow-up and success of the surgery. The dietician (Sumeyra) kept in touch before and after surgery and was proactive, responsive and knowledgeable. That level of care exceeds what you’d get here in the U.S. Dr. Muhammed is a calm person and out me at ease. The nursing staff was attentive and friendly. I felt in good hands. My only cons would be the facilities are small and not as clean as expected for Turkey, and a glitch in an unexpected cost of a procedure they didn’t tell me I needed before coming in (but they listened to my objections and let it go). Overall, I’d do another procedure with them and would recommend them to friends and family.
