i recently had my sleeve done at Erdem by Dr Ali Somaz. I really cannot praise every single member of staff enough for the care I received. From the moment I made initial contact via face book with the lovely Denis my experience has been amazing. on arrival the testing to ensure I was ready for surgery was so in depth and thorough. im home now and healing nicely day 9 post op and am 17lb down already. top marks to all involved especially Denis and the wonderful nurses who ensured I was comfortable throughout. you really all are wonderful and put our UK NHS to shame. I have fibromyalgia and went for gastric sleeve they were so understanding of my pain and carefully put a plan together to make sure I could still receive all my medications. The surgeon checked on me twice a day everyday and they listen to you it’s a quick are you ok? Yep ok bye they hear you and help where they can. If I have anything else done I would even think of going anywhere else. Thank you everyone who helped me at Erdem..

It has been 8 months after got hair transplant at Erdem Clinic 3950 grafts. I was Norwood 3v before operaiton so need hair transplant. I choose Erdem Clinic as they seem better reputation and they are hospital group. Treatment was really good, Doctors join every part of operation and lead the nurses. My hair stating to grow after 3 months. Only think I regret is why I did not do it earlier. If anyone thinking hair transplant I can say go for it, and I am happy with the treatment and other services that Erdem Clinic Provided.

Terrible experience. I live in Barcelona, Spain, and went to their clinic for a hair transplant on october 2019. Everything was bad from the begining, i will detail some bad points but then i will talk about the worst thing, the surgery itself.  The translator they promised didnt understand spanish or neither english, and know nothing about hte treatments they do. I paid 1300€ in cash and they did'n gave me any paper or bill. The girl that was going to make the operation was totally cold, no smiles, no trying to make me feel comfortable, no interest in answering my cuestions or explaining nothing, she never looked at me in the eye. She draw the implant zone very very bad, i had to correct her several times to arrive at a decent simetry (something very easy to see). In the operation they were 4 people talking and laughing very loud at centimetres of my head. I could feel the wind of their laughs in my head, i told them several times and they stopped for 2 minutes and start again on the same level. AND NOW THE WORST PART, THE TRANSPLANT: the day after the operation i made good quality photos of the donor and the implant area and put them in my computer (photoshop). I could see clearly that the difference of density between both areas was tremendous. So i counted the holes and the implants, a hard work, but harder conclusions. They took from my donor area around 4500-5000 grafts, and they implanted only 1200!!! i couldn't believe it. we agreed they were going to implant 3500 grafts and they put less than the half. But the harder thing is that they took from my donor area around 3000-3500 grafts that they probably threw away. My donor area now is not useful for another transplant. Im starting a trial to them now. Response to Erdem answer above: This answer is another disrespect for me. I say: you lied to me, you implanted 1200 grafts, instead of the 3500 you signed in the certificate. Counted. And you answer that im impatient and have to wait results. Why dont you answer why you implanted 2300 grafts less than what you promised? Or answer why you you extracted 3500 grafts more than what you implanted? In 8 months ill have 1000 grafts growing, of course(not enough to cover my problem), and a donor área unuseful. There's no need to wait for nothing. The fraud is clear now.

Myself, and another family member contacted Erdem Hospital after reading the positive reviews and asking people directly about their experiences we both decided to have a gastric sleeve. Thereafter we went ahead and arranged for the surgery to take place in February 2020. When booking the surgery the support and guidance were of a very high standard and the communication between the hospital staff and my family member, who is the person that liaises with Erdem Hospital has been doing date very efficient. I am sure once we have the surgery we will update this review.

Giving this dangerous hospital 1 star flatters it. I had 3 operations there, with the first 2 without incident though a lot of their equipment is ancient or non-existent. And they give you 100-page docs in Turkish to sign in dozens of places. But after the 3rd operation I needed to stay overnight. And it became clear that nobody is safe there. En route from the theatre to my room I was rudely roused briefly from my unconscious state as I was repeatedly hit. I could not speak or even open my eyes, let alone move to defend myself as what I guess to be a lift door was allowed to repeatedly smash my arm against the metal trolley. This was violent and, at one point, I was sure my arm was being broken. I felt cracking. Later it was blackened and swollen. Nobody dressed it. Instead they pretended nothing had happened and refused to get a manager. But it got worse. Really. I'd been starved pre-op. So I was dehydrated. They gave me a tiny tub of water to last all night. And no decent food. They had no painkillers. And they didn't check me, after major head and neck surgery, for several hours. That in itself is dangerous. Initially I ordered in a pizza and gave half to the nurses who, to be complimentary, were a waste of space and a total liability to every patient there. But in the end, dehydrated and in pain, realising I would not be alone in being at-risk, I kicked up. I complained via Linked In to a marketing man there. He ignored me. Then I got a doctor who is supposedly a director. He feigned concern but did sod-all for the next 3 months. I then complained to their Ministry of Health, not easy anyway. And surprise surprise they ended up saying they had no authority in a private hospital. Writing to the presidential complex etc etc got me nowhere. This was not the surgeon's fault. He was horrified. But it was the Erdem's fault. And they are an accident waiting to happen. There are no gonad protectors for x-rays, no resusc equipment evident anywhere, and they do not even harvest vital information in case of emergency. They have refused to compensate me and told my surgeon he cannot take me back there. Lol! Some loss! I advise everyone to stay away from this particular hospital group. They are, in every sense, unsafe and irresponsible. As for the Turkish Ministry of Health, they're a waste of space too. And a liability to medical tourism.

I had my gastric sleeve operation on the 18/12/2019.I am an orthopaedic surgeon and I work in the UK.To be honest I did not know what to expect before I travel to Erdem hospital. All that I knew was from the description on Whatclinic.I communicated through WhatsApp with the hospital coordinator, very kind lady.Everything happened as promised.I was expected at the airport and taken to the clinic. The standards of the hospital have nothing to envy to the English private hospital. The staff was very friendly and more importantly very professional and knowledgable.I had a full set of pre-op tests and it is when they were satisfied they decided for the procedure. I saw a cardiologist, pneumologie, rénal physician and a dietetics specialist. I was well taken care off after the operation while in the hospital. I was discharged once safe to fly 4 days post-op with medications and all instructions.The clinic kept in touch after I returned to Uk.I can only highly recommend Erdem hospital to anyone who would like a treatment in Turkey. The prices are not comparable with the UK and the waiting time is nothing.A special thanks to Dr Ali Szolmaz, Associate Professor who was my surgeon.

I came to Erdem hospital for a gastric sleeve operation. It is my first time in Turkey. I had a good feedback from a friend, that is why I chose to come.I was positively surprised by the level of professionalism, the high standard of the equipment and the kindness of the whole staff.I highly recommend them to anyone who would hesitate. I had a VSG (vertical sleeve gastrectomy) at Erdem Hospital and it went great. Everyone is so accomodating and caring. Amina (my coordinator) was fantastic with providing me with information and handling any small problems I had. The surgeon - Dr Ömer Avlanmış did an excellent job and so did all the doctors, who did the pre-surgery checkups. If you're looking for the hospital where you can have bariatric surgery, I would strongly recommend Erdem.

I have just returned from having gastric sleeve surgery with Dr Omer Avlanmis at Erdem Hospital and would highly recommend him he has helped change my life ❤️. The service and treatment I received was fantastic, from booking with the lovely Deniz who was extremely helpful and knowledge about what would happen with my procedure to flying to the nearest airport. We were picked up in a luxury car from the airport and taken straight to the hospital, booked in and taken to our lovely private room. The hospital is immaculate and our beds were changed every day and the room cleaned twice a day. The nurses who looked after me and my mum where amazing there was nothing too much trouble for them and they made sure we were really looked after and I was checked in on every 20 minutes after I had my surgery. The staff at this hospital go above and beyond with the surgeon being there most days 7a-1am. Thank you so much for looking after us kezban, tuğba, aynur, ugor and Deniz you made our stay fantastic and I will miss your smiling faces and hugs every day. Also thank you to the cleaning lady, food lady and the lady downstairs in cafe for being so lovely.

I highly recommend this hospital, very clean and professional, all staff are very nice and polite and helpful, I had sleeve surgery here 2 weeks ago and still to this day they are still on hand to help with any questions or problems, 100% all good

From start to finish I got a great service, Deniz was our translator and she was so helpful, collected at the airport brought straight to the hospital and they started pre-ops straight away, next morning finished pre-ops and straight for surgery, we had 4 nights after a the operation in the hospital which was great as more recovery time before we went back to the madness. Eleana was a really great nurse, along with others, we just didn’t catch their names and Dr Omer was a very happy, jolly doctor and visited after surgery and before we went home, all in all very happy with the hospital as a whole.

surgery at Erdem Hospital was amazing; all the staff were prepared and professionals from the beginning with the contact of my wonderful Amina who helped me with all the administrative an logistic process following by all the nursery and care staff that made my recovery 100% easier and faster. Also the medical staff is one of the most capable, professional and accurate that made me feel completely sure about my surgery and principally Dr Ömer Avlanmiş who made that my surgery was successful and one of the best decisions I've made. Hi, I had my surgery 2 weeks ago and I very happy. They looking after you from start to the end. I came to airport driver take my to hospital. They give me room with toilet and shower. Eveywere clean. I arrive in Sunday evening they strait do same tests, Monday they do more test.doctor vizut my 2 time in day samtimes 3. Amina evrytime aswell come visit and help wath I need. Thank you them for help. Nurses try best. It's issu English language but they try best that undestend as. I recommend Erdem hospital.

This gave me hope as I was looking for a reliable, professional and reasonably priced hospital – Erdem delivered on all three. I was always put at ease, I received excellent communication about what to expect and the whole team around me made me feel relaxed and confident. The operation was extremely intense. The pain waking up from the surgery was very bad, that day I regretted my surgery, I was very emotional. But I am almost 2 months post op, 3 stone down and this was the best decision I have ever made in my life! I feel so much fitter and healthier already with still a long way to go thanks to Erdem Hospital. They are extremely thorough with their checks, after surgery the nurses are constantly in and out giving the correct medication.. pain relief is given regularly and when I came home I had to have a stitch out and the nurse said 'you had an amazing surgeon and your scarring is very clean and neat' I am so thankful to Dr Omar and his team for helping me with a huge step to change my life and I highly reccomend them all.
