I did my gastric sleeve 6 months ago in Turkey in Erdem Clinic located in the heart of Istanbul. It was my first time in such a country, the consultant that I was talking to guided me through every step and answered to every single question before, during and even after the operation they are still caring about my well being untill today. The doctor, translators and medical staff were so welcoming and nice, I was overwhelmed. I have never been into a surgery before and I was so scared but they helped me out a lot physically and mentally. I have just to say thank you Erdem Clinic i really recommend it.

I had the gastric sleeve with Erdem hospital after searching for 6 months for a good clinic, and honestly i am happy i choose them over other clinics, the attention received was incredible, the staff were helpful for not say extremly friendly with me and my husband, from the start to the end i was happy and i would recommend this clinic to anyone who has doubts. My sister has done surgery in order hospital, it has all facilities that are required during treatment doctors and all staff are very cooperative, well behaved and polite, they give the best treatment as required, infrastructure of the hospital is well maintained and give hygienic place for place for stay even the food quality of the hospital is very good I'm very thankful to all the team of very renowned hospital for such care and facilities

Absolutely Fabulous! I can't recommend this hospital and their staff enough. I had my sleeve in Erdem hospital and have recently had a tummy tuck and breast lift also at Erdem. My care was absolutely amazing. The pre op tests are more than thorough. The hospital is immaculately clean. My results speak for themselves.....I'm a new woman and I thank Erdem for their professional care and support. I still receive calls to ask how I am doing and my sleeve was 2018! Please if you are considering surgery at Erdem feel free to talk to me personally. I would never consider surgery anywhere else as my experience was fantastic and stress free.

Good morning I would like to highlight surgery gone wrong with my mum. My mother nearly died because of surgery performed wrongly at Erdem hospital in Turkey. On 26th January my mum went for gastric sleeve surgery, gallstone removel & oesophagus repair which was performed by doctor Ali Solmaz at Erdem hospital in Turkey. She returned home 1 week later & within 10 days was admitted to a special care unit in hospital unable to keep fluid, food and her own saliva down. She was tube feed via her nose until the doctors in the UK found out what happened. After investigating they discovered all surgeries were botched. After 3 months of being fed via a tube she received corrective surgery last week in the UK. I contacted Erdem to inform them & they offered free surgery to fix their mistake but mum was on her death bed and unable to travel. We are from Northern Ireland & mum was in an intensive care unit so travel was out of the question. I asked them for a refund as now mum has been out of work because of Erdem botched surgery and it has put financial pressure on all the family & they said no and they said she signed a form and it’s not their problem anymore. I sent Erdem hospital medical evidence from a UK specialist doctor which explained how and why they needed to do corrective surgery. Erdem did not care. I told Erdem I intend to inform all their potential clients of what has happened & they said “do what you want” their words. I have now been informing all medical bodies also. I have messages of all correspondence with Erdem which clearly displays their lack of customer service and empathy for how they left my mother. She nearly died and they don’t care. I am devastated at Dr Ali Solmaz and Erdem hospitals lack of care for human life. They did not care if my mother died! They monitor their Facebook pages & will not let any negative comments be posted so that me or anyone else cannot make anyone aware of how horrific they have treated us. I am now on a number of Facebook pages and I am successfully informing all to avoid Erdem. My mum thought she would be fine, she wasn’t. She nearly lost her life. When my mum was researching she thought she had chosen a great hospital as all reviews on their page was good. Now we know they were only good because Erdem hospital bend the truth and prevent negative comments being posted on their page. They only allow positive stories to be posted. i have now been in contact with a number of women that had surgery at Erdem hospital and unfortunately i have spoken to women that has already had their surgery at Erdem and now being tube fed for life. I have also successfully saved others & receive messages/emails constantly of people thanking me as they no longer want surgery at Erdem. Erdem hospital are butchers. If you go here you risk death!

I was referred by friends to have treatment done here,tummy tuck and breast lift, I have no regrets. From min I contacted consultant(Ermine) I felt I was well looked after. Doctor Esra did a great job. Service was great from pick up to drop off. Nurses were fabulous ( even though English was very limited) that didn’t stop them doing their job to good standard with professionalism. Going back in April! Would recommend some English movies for entertainment!

I visited Erdem Hospital in Turkey for Gastric sleeve weight loss operation and I must say that I received brilliant service from everyone I came into contact with from the cleaners, the catering staff and all the Medical staff at Erdem Hopital. I was anxious on the day in arrived and also before my operation however, I was relaxed and calm eventually due to the care and support and kindness of shown to me by the people and staff members at Erdem hospital. The hospital ward was clean, and the room also cleaned regularly very practical and user friendly. Also Dr. Ali Solmaz and my consultant Deniz Have been very pleasant, friendly approachable and a very good people and they have made my visit to Erdem hospital a very good experience. I cannot praise the Erdem hospital team highly enough. Thank you Erdem Hospital

From start to finish with contacting for information from Denise to the care and dedication from Dr Ali nurses translators and all the team involved , I received just the best treatment from each and everyone involved . Would recommend this hospital and service to anyone considering surgery in Istanbul. Just a great down to earth team working together. Thank s so much 😁

Ok I debated whether to leave this and thought those looking for honest reviews should really know the ups and downs. I found this clinic on this website and narrowed my search down to this clinic and another. In hindsight, I would pick the other. While I am glad I got a gastric sleeve it wasn't without problems. Firstly it was a nightmare getting picked up, they had the wrong name with the driver and finding him was difficult. Anyway got past that and was taken to the hospital for tests the next day. The tests they do are many and varied, I was informed I needed Cardiac catheterization, was handed forms to fill in and taken for it. It was only afterwards my husband and I were told we needed to pay an extra £300 we had no choice it had been done and we had to pay. We weren't happy but we felt we were cornered. We arrived on a Thursday night and I was under the impression the operation would be on the Friday / Saturday, how wrong was I. It was the Monday before the operation and while it went well it was only a few days before we were due to fly home! Anyway, they didn't take the drains out till the Wednesday the day we were due to fly home! Well because of that I was told I couldn't fly that day, so had to contact the insurance company to arrange flights home. That's when things went from bad to worse. The insurance company needed the medical information to allow me to fly. Someone in the hospital put in my records I had a clot! The insurance company would not allow me to fly, I hadn't been told about any clot or complications. I was constantly on the phone to the company and the liaison in the hospital. No one seemed in a hurry to get the paperwork fixed. The hospital allowed us to stay in the room, which we were grateful for, but the error by the hospital ended up costing us £800+ not refunded in flights, the insurance company only covered part of the costs and they would only allow me to fly 1st class and we could not afford for both of us to fly 1st class so my husband was at the back of the Turkish Airlines flight! Not ideal as I have mobility problems and I am on crutches and morphine! So, in the end, it cost us an extra £1100 sterling which we couldn't afford. My husband just made it back in time to start work on a Monday morning it was extremely stressful and didn't need to be. It felt they had our money and we didn't really matter after that. If you have someone going with you, it helps but the room we were put into had the bed for me and my husband was left to sleep on one of those cheap small chairs that fold out on the floor like a mattress, we used to have one for children staying over with our children, not really suitable for an adult. As for the gastric sleeve, I am delighted with how it is going and I would still get it done, I am 5st down in 5 months which allowed me to travel to Poland for hip replacement surgery which went fantastic totally different experience from this one. If you are looking at getting the sleeve please research carefully, it is difficult but worth it. Good luck.

I had my sleeve to bypass revision with Dr Ali Solmaz. I highly recommend Erdem hospital. The whole experience was very professional from transfers from the airport right through to leaving for the airport. Dr Ali Solmaz and his team are brilliant, with twice-daily checks from Dr Ali and nurses. All the staff were very polite & caring. The hospital itself was very clean and the rooms were very spacious. The only issue was WiFi and the language barrier with nurses however google translate helped a great lot. Many thanks to the co-ordinator who was exceptional, she was always on hand to answer my questions, if she was not present at the hospital she would message via WhatsApp if I had any queries. I would certainly advise anyone who is thinking of having the surgery done to go to Erdem Hospital.

I had my operation on 24th October 2019, I want to state that I couldn’t have gotten better treatment anywhere else. From the surgical staff, nursing staff even down to the receptionists, I was made to feel welcome and well cared for. It was an exemplary service provided by the most professional, approachable caring staff. 11 out of 10!!
