Myself and my daughter went for sleeve surgery. I honestly don’t think we could have received better treatment anywhere else. We were seen twice every day by our consultant and the English speaking rep was only ever 15 minutes away. The endoscopic Gastric balloon works very well, I look like a model! I have had body weight problems since I was a teenager. I am 53 years old and my BMI is 31. At first, I requested Erdem Hospital from Whatclinic and wanted gastric sleeve surgery. They told me that my BMI was too low for the surgery and that I was suitable for the endoscopic gastric balloon. I didn’t think it was a good idea at first but they told me that it was better for my health. So I accepted the balloon process and it went absolutely great. It has been a year now and they just took out the balloon from my stomach. I have already lost 57 lbs since the whole thing. I am very grateful for the operation that I had in Erdem Hospital for the nurses and doctors were very helpful.

What a wonderful experience I had at Erdem Hospital!My nose was very big and I just wanted it fixed. I had gone to doctors many times and they also told me that I had breathing problems, because the bone in my nose wasn't where it should be. The struggle was a total nightmare. Gastric Sleeve. A modern hospital with good clinical care. Good overall experience. The modern clinic was very helpful. Only downside if you don't speak Turkish the communication with some of the nursing staff can be a bit difficult.

I work in the NHS within the UK and I was worried about the standard of treatment I would receive in Turkey for my gastric sleeve. I need not have worried. The treatment was second to none. The pre-assessment process was so well orchestrated I think the UK can learn. I would like to take back to the NHS, what patient centred care is really like! I met Dr Ömer prior to my surgery and I was seen 2-3 times daily by him postoperatively. I cannot fault the treatment and care received. My experience was first class. The nursing team, despite language challenges, were caring and efficient. My partner came and stayed with me and he was made most welcome. The hospital was exceptionally clean and the housekeeping staff so friendly. The location is good with restaurants nearby for relaxation.

Sleeve gastrectomy with Dr Omer. After 2 years of research, I came across Erdem Hospital. Their reviews for the very experienced bariatric team are fantastic. After lots of communication with Ermine, I arrived at the hospital 24th July 2018.I had very thorough pre-op tests which determined me safe for sleeve gastrectomy. I had my surgery the next morning. The first 24-hours weren't the easiest I admit! However, with the very professional and efficient nursing staff and the great pain relief, I got better and better each day.The doctor visited me every day and his bedside manner is wonderful. He put me at ease and I put my trust in him. On day 3 I had a leak test and my drain removed. On discharge, myself and my husband were taken to the lovely Hilton Garden's Hotel which was fabulous. They were so helpful and the chef would make any type of thin soup/broth I wanted - the tomato is the nicest! The breakfast is a buffet and I was happy with the greek yoghurt. About a week post op I was driven back to see Dr Omer for a checkup. I was amazed to see that I'd already lost 5kg! My hospital stay was made so pleasant. They accommodated my husband in the same room and provided him with all of his meals.The rooms were exceptionally clean.I would not hesitate to have further surgery at Erdem Hospital. I had the gastric sleeve at Erdem Hospital since in the country where I live (Norway) to have this surgery you must have the approval of your assigned personal doctor. I have not been improved since they only approve this surgery for people with BMS higher than 38 and mine was of 34. I am very happy with Dr Omer. He is an excellent professional, very kind and we were able to communicate since he speaks some English. He visited me 2 or 3 times a day during my stay in the hospital (4,5 days). The nurses are also very kind and they did their very best to communicate with me using an online app translator. The clinic looks small from the outside but when you get in you then realise it has 13 floors (6 underground, 1 lobby and 6 up). It is a very nice clinic and the service is very good!I would definitely recommend this clinic and doctor to my friends.

I was so scared to do the surgery but the hospital and the staff were all good. Dr Omer was very good, I didn’t feel any pain.

I had the gastric sleeve done in July 2018. I cannot recommend Dr Omer enough. He is fantastic at what he does and even the doctors and nurses back in the UK praised how neat his work is! I was looked after as soon as I got to the hospital and the nurses were all lovely. I never felt scared or anything as someone was always available. Even now 3months later Amina is available on WhatsApp and regularly checks up to see how I am doing. Fantastic service, very professional and great aftercare too.

I had liposuction as well as gynecomastia surgery done at this clinic. It was quite an involved process that lasted for around three or four hours. I got the results I wanted and the surgery has definitely improved my life. There were no scars or downtime afterwards. The staff treated me really well. Nurses, doctors and even the translator were excellent. Everyone was so supportive. I experienced no pain during the surgery. Everything was perfect. The only thing that could have made my experience better, is if I had more one on one time with the doctor. She arrived about ten minutes before the surgery and this didn’t leave much time to ask questions. A WhatsApp group was created for questions, and I could use this as a platform to get the information, but this would not have been my preferred method. Face to face sessions is always better. The best part was the excellent staff.

I chose gastric bypass surgery because of previous non-sustainable yoyo diets. This whole journey started with me doing research on Whatclinic and contacting Amina who provided me with all the details I needed including documents for my visa process. On arriving at the airport I was picked up by a car straight to the Hilton hotel and then picked up in the morning for my appointment with Dr Omer and his team. I then proceeded to do all my tests and consult all the necessary specialists including the nutritionist who gave me a post-surgery diet plan based on my body fat percentage and weight.The next evening I was picked up from the hotel for preoperative care for surgery on the fourth day. After the operation the post-operative care was very professional as Dr Omer's team, the anaesthetic team and the nursing team were just awesome during this period. Amina was also there visiting each day and translated all my needs which was mainly communicated with google translate. The hospital is very clean with state of the art technology.I travelled back on a 12-hour flight on the fifth postoperative day with a lot of rules which I'm still following. I have lost 13.5 kg in less than three weeks as I'm still on my diet plan and exercise. Thanks to all the staff at the Erdem hospital for the care you gave to me while in Turkey.

The clinic looked clean and modern according to the website. The price was also good, so I had my gastric sleeve surgery here. I paid the price they quoted prior to the appointment. The progress has been good so far. My joint pain is less severe and I’ve already lost a lot of weight. I’m hoping the treatment will improve my fertility, too. Thanks to keyhole surgery, they only made a few small incisions. I’ve been giving them online updates regarding my progress, but I didn’t make an actual appointment for aftercare. The nurses were absolutely lovely and I thought the translator was excellent too. I know some people have reservations about going overseas for surgery, but I found the whole process very straightforward. I’m very happy with my experience. I’d highly recommend Erdem.

I got lipo at Erdem Hospital with Dr Esra Bilgen. My experience, in general, was fantastic. The clinic itself was totally hotel 4 or 5 stars! The nurses the team all of them super friendly and careful in all of the aspects! My results? well, I can't complain it's 1/2 month already. I am super happy with my results. I strongly recommend the clinic and the fantastic Dr Esra! As I said before excellent and no complaints at all. The food cleaning and the staff welcoming and friendly!

I did a gastric sleeve surgery in Erdem hospital. I've had weight issues since I was a teenager. The typical Yo-yo effect that always kicked in. Since this winter I've had severe joint problems as well and I knew I needed to do something about it. I started to do my research on the operation and knew that this was what I needed. Unfortunately, the waiting list for this kind of operation is very long in my country and every month that passed by was a month with more pain. So I decided to go in a different country to do the surgery.I don't regret a single day since I have made this decision. During the pre-surgery test, it showed that my blood sugar, blood pressure and everything else is still ok, so it was right in time to perform the surgery. I had my surgery on the 18th of April 2018. When I arrived in Istanbul I was picked up by the driver and brought to the hospital. They performed all necessary tests prior to the operation, all the time I was accompanied by Mrs. Amina who translated for me.At the day of operation, I was well taken care of and everybody was friendly.The pain after surgery is not too bad, it is more the gases that cause you a bit of "trouble". But just listen to the doctor and walk, walk, walk.The nurses took very good care of me and even though the language is an issue, there is always google translate to help.I did a lot of research before doing this operation as it is a life-changing surgery with Dr. Omer I felt safe and in the best hands, I could not have asked for a better doctor.
