My sentiment around medical tourism was rather weak or undefined, I had heard of women going to Colombia for butt implants, or teeth, but never wanted anything done myself. Around covid i shaved my head from thinning hair and thought nothing of look until I decided one day after seeing hair transplant content in turkey that i wanted to have the procedure done. After reaching out to Lenus hair clinic the staff took care of everything. Plane tickets, Visas, hotel accommodations, were all booked and scheduled. Details like car service from the hotel to the hospital were also thought of and the instructions given to me were also detailed down to the type of shirt I should wear day of the procedure. My person concierge’s name was Mert. If you can, ask for him specifically. He has a great head of hair and will remind you why you are having the transplant done. Upon arrival to the hospital Mert brought me through the process of what was happening, then brought me to the cafeteria for food. After some food it was time to have the procedure. The two technicians, both women, were professional. They worked quickly with efficiency as well as the main doctor. My graphs after the procedure looked natural. The placement was as if real hair were patterned in and i could tell I had picked the right place. I went home and followed the instructions given to me by Mert through the Lenus process. Everything from medication and the cabs from the hospital to the hotel room with room service accommodated my every concern. Since I am from NYC and enjoy Turkish culture (the baths and the food are daily activities for me in Manhattan) i was sad that I could not experience Istanbul. The city is brilliant in its own right. East meets west. A dense Muslim culture complimented by Europe and its liberal touch converge on a city of 15 million. I want to move to Istanbul now. The trip is complimented with aftercare medications both topical and oral for the process to make sure the best results 15 months after the physical procedure is completed. If you are looking to have a hair transplant done Lenus was a great experience and Mert treats the job with such care and detail he is the reason i will be recommending this experience to my friends back home in NYC.
