The process has been brilliant.

The process has been brilliant. From being picked up from the airport, the hotel you stay in and the hospital bedroom is all 5 star. A very friendly translator welcomes you at the door of the hospital. From there things move very quickly from signing paper work to having pre ops tests such as chest xrays, ecg test etc. The translator takes you to every appointment and makes the experience a lot more calming she informs you of everything along the way and keeps checking up on you throughout the day to see if you need anything. The staff at the hospital are also brilliant, they come around every 2 hours and topping you up with any pain relief needed. The food for the companion supplied by the hospital is also a good amount. I would highly recommend Novemed.

I highly recommend!

I am very glad I did my gastric sleeve surgery with Novemed. The team is very welcoming, polite, kind and professional. If I had any questions they answered all of them and were overall very patient while I was deciding on the surgery. I am now almost 1 month post-op and have lost 16kg so far. I would definitely recommend Novemed to anybody thinking about having bariatric surgery done.

Post op gastric sleeve

I am now post op gastric sleeve with Novemed and I could not recommend them more! From start to finish the journey has been seamless, with absolutely no stress on myself. The staff, nurses, doctors and surgeons were so friendly and made me feel totally at ease, nothing is too much trouble for them and the hospital is the cleanest I’ve ever seen.

Had my gastric sleeve surgery done with…

Had my gastric sleeve surgery done with NoveMed. I came to Turkey by myself but was taken care straight away by lovely Elif who was there for me by my side all the time. Her kidness and help she offered was priceless!. Operation went well and now two days after I am recovering in hotel before my flight to UK. I hope that back in UK following the diet and nutrition plan I will get where I need to get.

Would highly recommend

Would highly recommend and would use again if was having another medical procedure had a 12 month gastric ballon fitted October 2022 and went back October 2023 to have removed, would like to say rosa was very helpful from start to finish, I was looked after very well by the medical staff also the whole experience was very organised. Best decision ever

Doing the bariatric surgery with Novemed was one of the best decisions I ever made. The team was very nice, they explained everything carefully and they made me feel at home. Cannot recommend NOVEMED enough. From the very beginning of booking the surgery (Gastric sleeve) to the aftercare, the whole team have been amazing. So attentive and reassuring. Especially Sena who looked after me when I arrived and took me for my pre op checks. She made me feel at ease and is amazing at her job! Such a lovely team <3 My surgeon was great and checked on me daily at hospital and nurses were all very attentive and efficient.

Great service and professional staff

Great service and professional staff. I contacted 7 clinics to inquire about gastric sleeve surgery. Novomed offer was the 3rd cheapest, however they were the most professional looking organization, thus I decided for their services over the cheaper ones. All my questions were clearly answered during each step of the process. The hospital itself seemed well equipped and clean. My only suggestion is to buy google chromecasts/roku or whatever for the TV’s, to enable patients to watch YouTube or Netflix while recovering.

Gastric sleeve - 10/10 experience

I had my gastric sleeve sleeve with novemed and couldn’t have gone any better. The team were brilliant and communication was great. I had my surgery with dr. Muhammad ucuncu and ensure I knew everything that was going on and checked on me after the surgery a few times. The transfers were always on time and the hotel and hospital stay was absolutely amazing. Would recommend to anyone - I was nervous at first but now going through it I was nervous for nothing 😊

What is the average gastric sleeve recovery time?

Gastric sleeve recovery time depends on your condition and procedure. If you have gastric sleeve — also known as sleeve gastrectomy — you can usually return home the second day after surgery. Most people return to work or other daily routines in 5 to 10 days.

What is the typical weight loss after gastric sleeve?

It’s common to lose 50 to 70% of excess weight over a one- to two-year period after gastric sleeve.

What is the gastric sleeve pre-op diet?

Two weeks before your surgery, you are required to follow a liquid meal replacement diet. The purpose of this diet is to reduce the size of the liver to make surgery safer. This diet includes protein shakes, several “approved” snacks (eg, sugar-free pudding, yogurt and sugar-free gelatin), and plenty of clear liquids (water, broth, sugar-free jello and popsicles). Your registered dietitian will go over the details of this diet once your surgery is scheduled.

What is revision surgery?

Revision surgeries are operations performed for complications such as weight gain or leakage after obesity surgery. The most important reason for those surgeries is weight gain. Revisional surgery is performed to change or modify a prior bariatric surgery.
